The UAE Banks Federation brought together thought-leaders,
innovators and banking professionals from around the world
T
he UAE Banks Federation held the third
annual Middle East Banking Forum on the
16th of November, at the Jumeirah Beach
Hotel, in Dubai, under the theme of
“
Leaders of
Innovation
”
. With delegates attending from 19
countries, the forum attracted 333 senior banking
and finance representatives and 81 percent of the
attendees were CEOs, executive board, C-suite
and senior managers from the banking sector.
The conference was opened by H.E. Abdul
Aziz Al Ghurair followed by an address from
H.E. Mubarak Rashid Al Mansoori, Governor of the
UAE Central Bank, who gave an overview of the
regulatory and banking environment in the UAE.
While Scott Bales, MD of Innovation Labs Asia,
and an international consultant on the challenges
facing business, governments and society due to
digitization, also gave a presentation. Managing
